South Lakes

Bridge

Co-ordinators: Mary Simm and Brian Jackman
Meetings: Friday, 1.30 – 4.30 p.m., Abbott Hall Social Centre

Do join us for relaxed and friendly bridge if you have some knowledge of the game. (Standard 3rd year plus).

We normally play ‘Chicago’, where we change partners and opponents after every 4 hands, but once a month we play ‘Teams’ when N/S and E/W play set hands competitively against other teams. We average 5 or 6 tables.

No need to come with a partner. Tea and biscuits provided!

REPORT - 1 MAY

We shall be starting up Face to face Bridge sessions from May 13th.

REPORT JANUARY

Our group is unlikely to meet face-to-face for some time since we sit so close to each other and handle the same cards. However, for the last few months we have kept in touch by playing Duplicate Bridge online using Bridge Base Online. Twice a month we have a tournament and about 40 of our members have joined in. Last month a group from Cockermouth U3A Bridge asked to join us so our numbers have grown.
