Architecture Appreciation
Architecture Appreciation
Co-ordinator: Mark Miller and Richard Pealing
Meetings: 1st Tuesday in the month, 10.00 – 11.45 a.m., Abbott Hall Social Centre.
The group is well established and has followed a varied and successful programme which is well attended. We enjoy talks from those with a particular knowledge of or interest in a given field, followed by discussion and questions.
We have had several visits led by our subject specialist, Richard Pealing, to places of architectural interest in Kendal and further such visits are being arranged.
In order to encourage more people to take part in the programme, we occasionally hold meetings in which several people speak briefly about a building which they know well, such as a church or a family home: the focus is on the architecture of the building.
If anyone is giving/wants to give a talk/presentation, however short, and needs help with technical matters, e.g. using pictures, Mark Miller can help and is happy to do so. (Click on the Eagle to send message.)
We are a friendly group and welcome newcomers.
