We are a member led organisation for people who are no longer in full time employment.
South Lakes u3a provides opportunities for learning, leisure and social interaction. All activities are organised and carried out by volunteer members in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
We have over 1,200 members most of whom live in Kendal and the surrounding towns and villages.
There are 80+ interest groups and a programme of other events. There are many ways to get involved and there is no limit to how many groups you can join. Have a look at the Groups page for more details.

Groups meeting in hired venues charge £2.00 each time you attend.
We are a registered charity and part of a much larger national organisation, The Third Age Trust, whose motto is Learn, Laugh, Live - we try to live up to that.
