Creative Writing on Zoom
During this dreadful Coronavirus pandemic the Creative Writing Group is still 'meeting'!! Yes, we have managed to set up a group on Zoom and we are reading poems and stories and having a laugh every other Wednesday afternoon at 2pm. So if anyone would like to join us, not necessarily to read but just to listen to our contributions if you prefer, please send me a message via the Bluebird link and I can give you the Meeting ID and Password to join us. You will need to enable the camera on your computer/iPad or phone (if you want to be seen!) to do this, make sure you have sound and download the Zoom App.
You will be very welcome.
We are still using our Homework Suggestion Box so any ideas would be very welcome.

Below are the arrangements in normal circumstances
Meeting: | 2nd Wednesday morning of the month. |
Time: | 10.30-12.30. |
Venue: | Melrose Room, St. Cuthbert's Church Centre. |
Group Leader: | Gael Hughes-Jones |
New members are very welcome. If you wish to join the Group, please do so via the Bluebird link at the top of the page including a telephone number for security purposes. Previous writing experience is not necessary. The best way to learn and improve is to listen to other writers in the Group but support can be given if required. Everyone has their own style.
At each class the members read their homework to the group (we're a friendly lot!), then we have a break and write for about 20 minutes on a set topic. If we have time we have a general chat on a writing topic of interest. Finally the next exercise for homework is chosen.
Remember you can write a story, prose-piece or poem, fact or fiction. Pieces of writing shouldn't be too long so that we have time to hear everybody's efforts.
HOMEWORK
We have a Homework Suggestions Box, so if you could each think of a topic we could write about for Homework, it will be put in the box and one retrieved at random each month.
