Book Group
The Book Group has a new leader and a new venue
The First Meeting of the Book Group was on 14th February, 2022, at 2pm at McBoyle Hall and the leader was Lynda Cameron. The inaugural meeting was attended by eleven members.
The first book to be discussed was: "The Salt Path" by Raynor Winn.
Each participant was given five minutes of uninterrupted time to say what they think about the book and then there was be a general discussion.
The second book was: "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry" by Rachel Joyce.
Sadly Lynda's health has been a little unpredictable and she reluctantly resigned as group leader. Thankfully Jane Gentles has stepped into the breach and has agreed to take over the role of Group Leader.
The Group will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Jane's home (initially) and will re-start in December. At the first meeting the group will discuss different genres and decide on the next book to read. Jane is prepared to be flexible about days and times and, depending on the level of interest, may need to revise the venue.
