Moray Coast

Desert Island Disks

The Desert Island Disk Group will meet on a monthly basis on the 4th Thursday of the month starting on March 28th from 2.30 to 4.30 at the Group Leader's house. It would be helpful if members could indicate their interest through the Moray Coast U3A website. As this group will meet in a member's home the number of participants may have to be restricted. The afternoon will follow the well known format of the Radio 4 programme. A person ( usually a celebrity! ) is interviewed about their choice of 8 musical pieces and why they have chosen them. We expect our Desert Island Disks to be much more informal than the Radio 4 version. We also hope that it will be fun!

For the first meeting, on March 28th, Dr. Ann Rennie will be interviewed by another member. If there is sufficient interest then we will have another two meetings on the following dates; Thursday, April 25th and Thursday May 23rd 2019. If, after this trial period, the enthusiasm for this group is maintained then group would continue, on a regular basis, for the 2019 - 2020 U3A Session. The first session on March 28th is now full so if members wish to join the April or May groups please contact Ann Rennie by clicking on the right of this page.

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be on Thursday 25th April at 2.30 p.m. at the Group Leader's home. The Castaway will be Lynda Cameron and the interviewer will be Joan Coverley.

If you are interested the Desert Island Disks Group then please contact the group leader, Dr Ann Rennie, by clicking on the link on the right of this page. You will be able to send a message to Ann.

Those members who have expressed an interest will be kept up to date with developments via email.
