LONG WALKS GROUP
It has been agreed the walks will commence in March in order to avoid the worst
of the winter weather.
Dates arranged are as follows:-
Wednesday 10th April.
Tuesday 7th May.
Routes for these walks to be arranged.
APRIL
On Wednesday 10th April the long walkers group met at the Leg of Mutton car park in Yelverton.
Six brave intrepid members battled the bad weather and a very wet and boggy Dartmoor to walk
to the Long Acres Garden Centre where we enjoyed a hot drink and food.
We then returned to the car park across the moor.
Despite the not very pleasant weather it was an enjoyable day.
Our next walk will be on Tuesday 7th May. A route to be confirmed,
MARCH
The long walkers group did a walk around the Saltram estate and under Marsh mills roundabout then back to Saltram on the 6th March.
Unfortunately we could only muster two people to do this walk for various reasons.
My self and David had a very nice walk in lovely sunny weather and finished with a coffee at the Saltram cafe.
A shame that more members were unable to join us.
