History of World War One
This course follows the Great War chronologically. It is made up of Lectures by both the group leader and group members, DVD's, debates and the occasional guest speaker. To date, we have had two Battlefield Excursions to Flanders, a trip to The Imperial War museum and The Poppies @ The Tower. For the final year of our course, we will be attending the Commemoration Service for the Armistice at the National Arboretum on 11th November 2018.
The sessions are held on the first Monday of the month at 2.00pm in Huntingdon Library.
As this course is finalised at the end of 2018, the Group is continuing the "Military History" topic with the new subject of the Second World War.
