Artificial Intelligence
The group is up and running and we have now had our second meeting. We are getting together monthly with the overall aim of trying to keep abreast of AI and the way it is impacting on public and private lives. It is moving at rapid pace and we are going to try and catch up, then keep up. We are finding our way from a low base. That is to say none of us knows a lot about AI so we are learning together. Our meeting agenda will centre on awareness of AI news in the public domain, low-key background understanding of technicalities, and debate about current and future applications and implications of AI.
Our recent meeting focussed on becoming familiar with ChatGPT, the language model (LLM) which puts answers to your probing questions in admirable prose or verse and in any language of your choosing.
