Knit and Chat

Since our first get together meeting in December 2014 we met regularly every two weeks but now meet monthly. There is an awful lot of chatting, plenty of laughing and of course we do knit quite a lot. A couple of our ladies came just to chat but they soon joined in with the knitting.

We bring along our own projects, swop patterns and discuss our experiences in general. There has been hats of various designs, scarves, a shawl, toddler cardigans, beautiful Arun, an amazing cat and some Christmas puddings produced from an assortment of bags and in one case a shopping trolley.

Technology has reached the Group by way of FaceTime. While our members are on holiday, they keep in touch. Usually they check out who is at the meeting, what cakes we are having and request patterns which we email . We have all really enjoyed this experience and close friendships have definitely formed.

We have knitted many items for different departments at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and other charitable organisations.
