Huntingdon

Welcome to Huntingdon u3a

Learn, Laugh & Live…..these three words sum up what Huntingdon u3a is all about. We believe in life-long learning and life-long fun and friendship. Keeping your mind and body active and maintaining a good social life is a well known route to a happy and healthy third age. The fun part of learning is central to all out activities - it’s all about you getting the most out of the time you spend with us.

If you’re a current member, this site will give you the information you need about your organization and the interest groups that are running. We currently have around 50 active groups, although there is always the opportunity to introduce new groups. We are always looking for Group Leaders – do you have the expertise or skill to lead a group?

If your thinking about joining us, our groups cover a wide range of activities so there’s bound to be something that catches your eye. The groups are all self-managed, so whether you’d like to go walking, trace your family history, discover geocaching or develop your artistic skills, there’ll be something for you!

For a lot of people, u3a is a good way to meet friends but it’s up to you how many groups you want to get involved with. We have a programme of speakers at our monthly Open Meetings and these are a great way of catching up with other members over a cup of tea and a biscuit. If you’re thinking of joining you can always enjoy 2 taster sessions at a group meeting before completing and submitting an application form. Or you can always drop into one of our Open Meetings - 3rd Wednesday of each month at 2.30 pm in the Methodist Church, Huntingdon). Just let the reception team know that you are interested in u3a and they will make sure someone from the New Members Team has a chat with you.

To join, please download and print an Application form (accessible via the link above right) and send it to the address on the form, along with your remittance. Alternatively, you can click on the carrier pigeon and send us a message requesting a form and we’ll send you one by post.
