Our Villages

NEW for 2024

  • Why and when did our villages arrive?
  • Who owned the land on which they were built?
  • What type of dwellings were first built?
  • How has the population changed over the years?
  • Which villages have retained schools, surgeries, post offices or shops?

If these questions interest you, find some answers when this new group visits our villages to learn from local people who have the relevant knowledge and experience of village life. Our next visit will be to the Braeport Centre, Dunblane on Wednesday 21st February, meeting at 2 p.m.

All suggestions for further visits will be most welcome!

For further information, please contact Barbara Legg by clicking on the pigeon in the right-hand column and completing the form that appears.
