French Conversation (Killin)

UPDATE for 2024

We are based in Killin, but meet every fortnight on a Wednesday afternoon in different venues between 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. for some light-hearted and civilised conversation in French. We generally use hotels and cafes where, for the price of a hot drink and "a little something", we can enjoy warm, comfortable surroundings.

We have no set agenda, so there is no need for any advanced preparation of a topic. We simply chat about whatever happens to be on our minds or in the news that week. We also tend to ignore the technical niceties of grammar and vocabulary and concentrate on building confidence in speaking and communicating in French, rather than the passing of examinations!

Our first session of the new year will be on Wednesday 24th January in "The Capercaillie" at Killin. Thereafter, we shall meet every fortnight until just before Easter.

If you would like to join us, please contact Paul Hicks by clicking on the pigeon in the right-hand column. Paul normally circulates everyone in the group by email a couple of days before the meeting, advising everyone of where we shall meet that week. If you would like to join us for some relaxed, enjoyable French conversation, you will be most welcome to do so!
