Myra Cumming

I spent my childhood in Bearsden, a suburb of Glasgow. Following school, I trained as a primary school teacher at Jordanhill College of Education. Over the years I have taught in schools in Glasgow, Birmingham, Pakistan, Dubai and finally worked with children in Perth who had additional support needs.

I am married to Douglas and we have a son and a daughter. Douglas's work as a civil engineer took us to live in unlikely corners of the world! However, now happily retired, we have lived in Thornhill for the past ten years. A record for us !

My time is taken up with various hobbies, including, dog walking, cookery, ancestry research and of course several U3A classes.
