The aim is to have fun with French, whilst learning about French language and culture, and improving on current level of ability.
During the temporary suspension of all U3A group meetings, you can still contact us via the little bird.
Some of us are aiming to keep up our current schedule and 'meet up' on the phone or via the internet.
For those who just want to keep up their french in their own time 'Duolingo', caters for all levels and is very easy to use, 'francais authentique' gives excellent podcasts for those with a little more knowledge (both are free if you avoid signing up for extras) There are also a whole host of other resources available on the net.
Following the discontinuation of the 'Follow On' group, we now have 8 groups shared among 5 conveners. We are however planning to start a French style Petanque group from on the 3rd Monday afternoon of the month, beside the Quay cafe, a fun way to enjoy the outdoors, get active and enjoy the company of others with an interest in France and all things French. We hope that we will soon be back up to 9 groups.
Please see individual sub pages and contact the convenor for venue details and up to date information about each group.
Please contact the overall convener, via the little bird on this page for general information (about the most appropriate group for you to join and where there might be vacancies). We hold 2 'whole group' events on the 3rd Monday afternoon of January and July please see below. These are an ideal opportunity to come along and chat to each of the conveners, but please click on the little bird to let us know you are coming.
