Social Events Secretary Vacancy

To the regret of us all, Irene, our Social Events Secretary, has retired. Over many years, Irene has provided a wonderful range of local outings, days out in London, fabulous cruises and short breaks to historic cities and towns. I am sure you will all join me in saying 'Thank you' to a lovely lady.

Have you got what it takes to become our Social Secretary? To see what is involved, take a look at the 'job spec' on Job Outlines. If you are interested please contact Graham at Chair or call 07835 509773.

2021 Outings

It is unlikely any outings will go ahead during 2021, however if any are offered, you will see it first on the Latest News page

Ideas for visits

We have had no feedback on places you would like to visit so here are few suggestions from me.

Adnams Brewery and Distillery Adnams Brewery and Distillery - What could be better than a visit to one of East Anglia's most famous breweries and a walk around the delightful town of Southwold?

East Ruston Gardens East Ruston Gardens - Reputed to be one of the most beautiful gardens in Norfolk, perhaps this can be combined with a delicious tea and cake somewhere?

Felbrigg Hall Felbrigg Hall - Find out more about this historic building and take time to explore the parkland and amazing walled vegetable garden.

Summerleyton Hall Somerleyton Hall - This magnificent hall was used in the filming of 'The Crown' and is set in wonderful formal and informal gardens. I can personally vouch for the quality of the food in the tea shop!

Sutton Hoo - Sutton Hoo Take a journey back into the distant past when Vikings dominated East Anglia. The history of how it was discovered has been brought to life in the hugely popular film, 'The Dig'.
