WELCOME TO THE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP WEBPAGE
This is the main page for the Beccles U3A Digital Photography group. There are two sub-pages, one for group members to access for meeting detail and the other to access our gallery of photographs. Both these sub-pages are accessed by the links upper right on this page.
Users of iphones or similar note that the sub-pages links and the bird image, used to contact the convenor(s), will be displayed towards the bottom of the page.
Members of Beccles U3A are invited to contact group convenors (Andy Mc and Andy H) by clicking the bird image ( the blue bird at the top ) on this webpage and telling us of your interest. There is little to lose by contacting us and using up to 2 free meetings to check if the group is for you or not.
The group has been formed for members of all digital photography abilities and members use a wide range of photography equipment from point and shoot to DSLR and Iphones.
Esme (who won two prizes in this years competition) says:
"I was really pleased to have done so well in our competitions, both last year and this, especially as I only have a compact point and shoot camera, and no access to Photoshop. It really does show that you don't need a DSLR camera with fancy lenses to be able to take good photographs. So for prospective new members reading this, please do come along; it will not be too advanced or serious for you. We regularly go back over the basic camera functions, and there are plenty of people willing to help and encourage you. You never know, this time next year it could be you with a winning photograph!"
If however you feel you are more advanced in your photography and have the latest technology to hand then we are still the group for you! We try to extend our knowledge both of our equipment and of the art of photography. You will never leave without learning something about your camera or having new ideas for your next photography outing.
We are a friendly group and have our meetings in a side room at The Caxton Club where we are well looked after with free WiFi and a large screen TV on which we can display presentation work and photographs. The bar is open serving coffee and teas as well as a full range of beers, ciders etc. Come along and give us a try.
For time and date of the next meeting check out the members page. There is also a link to a page on a recent topic
There is good disabled access into the club and disabled loos are available. If access to buildings is of concern to you please check the ACCESS page. Also, if you need a little help then make our convenors aware.
