Group meetings and talks are held at Henry Dixon Hall starting at 2pm, unless otherwise stated

We hold plant sales at the general monthly meetings
from April to September inclusive and welcome any
plants, produce etc. to sell to raise money for the hire
of the hall and to pay for visiting speakers.

Tuesday 31st January
2.00pm Talk at Henry Dixon Hall “Perennial Mr Potter” - an
entertaining talk by Bryan Thurlow on the life of a Victorian gardener.
Cost £5.00

Tuesday February 28th
2.0pm Talk at Henry Dixon Hall “All about herbs”,
bySuzsanna Serer . Cost £5.00

Tuesday 28th March
2.00pm Talk at Henry Dixon Hall by John Taylor on
“The importance of Bumble Bees”. Cost £5.00

Tuesday 25th April
Ulting Wick, Crouchmans Farm Road, Ulting, Maldon, Essex,
CM9 6QX. Listed black barns provide backdrop for vibrant and
exuberant planting in 8 acres. Thousands of tulips, flowing innovative
spring planting, herbaceous borders, pond, mature weeping willows,
kitchen garden. Drought tolerant perennial and mini annual
wildflower meadows. Unusual plants for sale. Meet at 2.00pm. Cost
£12 including drinks and cake

Tuesday 27th June
The Place for Plants, East Bergholt Place Garden, East Bergholt,
Suffolk, CO7 6UP
20 acre woodland garden. Full of many fine trees and shrubs, many
seldom seen in East Anglia. A fine collection of camellias, magnolias
and rhododendrons, topiary, and the National Collection of deciduous
Euonymus. Meet at 2.00pm. Cost £8.00 including guided tour.

Tuesday 25th July
Heyrons The Street, High Easter, CM1 4QN,
An informal garden of four parts created for family enjoyment within
and around an ancient restored farmyard. An Essex barn and red
brick farm buildings surround an intensely planted walled garden. A
terraced area with mature trees, herbaceous and shady beds leads up
to a rose garden. Beyond is an open area with grass tennis court, big
skies, a small meadow and fine views over Essex countryside. Meet at
2.00pm. £10.00 including drinks & cake

Tuesday 26th September
Sandy Lodge
Howe Drive, Hedingham Road, Halstead, Essex, CO9 2QL
A garden for all seasons. ¾ acre created over the last 5 years. Minutes
from Halstead Town centre yet a very peaceful garden with stunning
views over the countryside. Enter to a two-tier gravel Bee Border;
wander to the Winter Wedding border then the Woodlands Walk.
Across the lawn you find the Prairie decking borders. Lots of
seating/viewing spots. Garden on a slight slope; gravel at front. .
Meet at 2pm. £7.50 including drinks & cake
