Reading

Delighted that one more of our group is now able to Zoom into us.

In April we read a Jodi Picoult: 'Small Great Things. Quite a pot-pourri of the problems African-Americans can face in early 21st C USA, although we did wonder how long its took the author to write it. Was the ending a bit saccharine?

In May we will be discussing Emma Smiths'As Green as Grass" A 'sort of autobiography, which began with her growing up Before, During & After the Second World War

June's meeting will be put back a week so that we can all meet without 'let or hindrance'. Assuming that everything, pandemic-wise goes to plan.
