RIPON ARCHAEOLOGY RESEARCH GROUP

DUE TO THE CURRENT CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK, ALL MEETINGS OF RARG ARE SUSPENDED

This is a newly formed U3A group that has been running, as RCAP, for several years, first with Lottery Funding then latterly self funded.
RARG carries out mainly desktop research into the archaeology of Ripon & surrounding parishes relying heavily on the internet to access information.
We have published several booklets on parishes surrounding Ripon. This research continues & we are now also researching the Industrial Archaeology of Ripon.
To fund our activities each member pays in £10 a month, which covers the cost of the hall, licences, materials & refreshments.
We meet Friday mornings in Copt Hewick Village Hall, 9.00am to 12.30pm & anyone interested in joining us is welcome to come along & see what we do - 9.30am is coffee time.
