RIPON ARCHAEOLOGY RESEARCH GROUP

Friday Mornings in Copt Hewick Village Hall

THE GROUP IS NOT MEETING AT PRESENT DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID SITUATION

This is a U3A group that has been running, as RCAP, for several years, first with Lottery Funding then latterly self funded.
RARG carries out mainly desktop research into the archaeology of Ripon & surrounding parishes relying heavily on the internet to access information.
We have published several booklets on parishes surrounding Ripon. This research continues & we are now also researching the Industrial Archaeology of Ripon such as Carriage Works, Leather Working.
To fund our activities each member pays in £15 a month, which covers the cost of the hall, licences, materials & refreshments.
We meet Friday mornings in Copt Hewick Village Hall, 9.00am to 12.30pm & anyone interested in joining us is welcome to come along & see what we do - 9.30am is coffee time.
