Singing for Fun
Singing for Fun began in September 2022 and the members meet once a month - on the first Friday of the month at 11.00a.m. The venue is usually Ripon's AllHallowgate Church Hall in the Centre Room but occasionally it takes place at the group leader's house.
There are still a few spaces left and experience is not required - all you need is a willingness to have a go.
The current members have lovely voices and make a great sound when singing in small groups or together. They are also willing to tackle more challenging vocal arrangements.
The repertoire is varied and includes traditional songs, pop songs and some choral pieces as well as a selection of world music. Currently, the majority of each piece is in unison but we are putting in harmonies and bass lines at cadential points whenever possible.
