Inverness & Black Isle

Sewing

We now have a regular group of ladies (8-10) in our group, and a couple of new ladies interested in joining.
Previously we have covered various topics - quilting made easy, putting in a zip by machine, quilted table mats, how to service your sewing machine. Dress making is proving popular as is quilting (though we are not a quilting group). Rag dolls have been made, embroidery and tapestry done, cushion covers created and some knitting.

We have been meeting via Zoom since lockdown. A group project is in hand - each member to work a square whatever way they like and the theme is a ‘tree’. And one day when we can all get together again the squares will be made up into a wall hanging. Just a little project to keep us busy in the coming into winter! Members are notified in advance as to when the next Zoom meeting is taking place.
