Inverness & Black Isle

Welcome to Inverness & Black Isle U3A

Our AGM took place in May by email. Some Interest Groups have continued to run using email and Zoom online meetings. The U3A Day which was scheduled for June 3rd was postponed and will now take place in 2021. The Scottish Summer School scheduled for Stirling in August has also been postponed, until August 2021. Details are available on the U3A in Scotland website. Andrew Fraser, Convener

We are hoping to resume our meetings in October but that will depend on the advice of the Scottish Government.

The U3A offers the opportunity for retired, or semi-retired people, to get together and share common interests. We hold general meetings with invited speakers from September to May. Talks cover a wide range of topics and are followed by the opportunity to chat to other members over a cup of tea and look at what is on offer in our Interest groups.Click on the Events tab for information on topics for 2020-2021.

Interest groups cover a wide variety of subjects. They are informal in nature and are led by the members of the group. There are no examinations or certificates just the opportunity to explore a new interest, expand and share an existing interest with a small group of like-minded people. Click on the Groups tab to find out more.

If you think you might be interested you can attend two general meetings and an interest group meeting before deciding whether to join us.
