Shorter Walks

The short walks have evolved over the last few years.

The walkers remain a friendly and sociable group but we no longer finish our walks by lunching at a café. If one is convenient, some of us may enjoy a coffee there. Walkers carry snacks for coffee and lunch breaks.

The walks are usually 4 to 4.5 miles but very occasionally may stretch to 5 miles and are along good paths and tracks with little elevation. One or two of the walks do involve some steeper sections.

We walk in Invernessshire, Moray and Ross and Cromarty. Numbers on our walks range from about 8 to 18.

The Short Walk Group and The walking Group meet on alternate Wednesdays throughout the year. Many walkers belong to both groups.

We welcome new walkers and especially new walk leaders.
