We will be walking mostly just once a month, at least initially. We are not route marchers, The walks will not be strenuous, they will be of 3 to 4 miles in length and we will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to do them and will indulge in about 1 hour's socialising.
Group members are encouraged to contribute and lead walks.
Our Health and Safety Policy can be viewed at Walking-H&S and in these Covid 19 menaced times at Additional Guidance. For your own and others’ safety, please abide by any advice and guidelines issued with regard to each walk. Please also remember that you are walking entirely at your own risk. It is for you to decide whether or not you will be able to keep up with the group and complete the walks. If you are unsure do discuss it with us in advance – we reserve the right to turn you away if necessary. Also, remember that it is your responsibility to behave sensibly to minimise the potential for accidents to occur. Although walking is inherently one of the safest outdoor activities no activity is completely without risk.
Guidance for walk leaders is available at Country-Walks-Leaders-Guidance.
