Wed May 2ndMeetingMonthly Meeting at Claygate Village Hall Treasures of the Nile - Paul Whittle
From El Alamein and Alexandria to Luxor, Aswan and the temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel – a voyage along the Nile. Paul has been a travel lecturer for 10 years and has visited over 50 countries, including relatively unknown ones such as Eritrea and Armenia, and crossed the Sahara.

The Romanoffs - Siobhan Clarke
Siobhan Clarke has worked for Historic Royal Palaces for 17 years as a Costumed Interpreter, then as a Lecturer. She is based at Hampton Court Palace and specialises in 16th C dress. However, she will transport us today to early 20th C Russia and the last days of Nicholas and Alexandra. She will guide us through the 1917 revolution which tore Russia apart, culminated in the murder of the entire Imperial family and began the Communist regime.
