Day of MeetingFirst Wednesday of the month
Time of Meeting1.00pm to 3.00pm
Venue for MeetingCentral Library, Scunthorpe
Name of Contact Mel Ogden

The U3A genealogy group meets at Scunthorpe Central (Library). The room is on the first floor with good access (stairs and lift). There is a fee for the room which is shared amongst members although we do get tea and coffee provided. Members can use the local council internet so most bring along a tablet or laptop although these are not necessary.

The main purpose of the Genealogy Group is to provide a focus for members to share their experiences (triumphs/frustrations/brickwalls), gain help and advice, improve research skills and knowledge, and enjoy friendship with other local amateur genealogists. This is achieved through sharing resources, regular presentations on relevant topics and the use of the internet.

New members are welcome.
