Frequency: Monthly: 1st Wednesday of the month

Description:
This group is all about recalling our memories and getting them in print. Members of the group assist one another in writing down past memories, with a view to compiling a memoir for the benefit of family members or perhaps a wider readership such as social historians.

Over the past year topics have included: favourite films and/or film stars; spooky/ghostly encounters; first experience of using a computer; special item from your past; most beloved toy/s; earliest childhood memories; best childhood friend; mum’s or grandmother’s kitchen; childhood injury or illness; describe your room when growing up; childhood memories of your mother and father; first experience away from home.

For 2020 planned topics include: the 2nd world war; dad’s occupation; going to the dentist; cinema visits; jobs you had; moving house; your childhood character traits; shops; clubs/groups etc.; farm; getting drunk.
