Country walks are on the second Tuesday of each month and are varied and generally between 6 -7 miles long. The December meeting is our planning meeting when the walks for the following year are discussed with members within the group agreeing to organise and coordinate a walk. Each months walk coordinator then carries out a reccy within a few weeks of the walk and members are advised of details e.g. starting time and location, parking arrangements, toilet facilities etc together with terrane eg inclines, stiles etc. Most of the walks involve a drive although car sharing is encouraged. We are friendly group who spend as much time talking as walking and usually find time for a coffee break during or after the walk.
