Events

The Whitley Bay u3a monthly meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, at 2:00pm. We meet at The Linskill Centre,
Linskill Terrace, North Shields,NE30 2AY.

Apart from the AGM held once a year, there is a guest speaker at each monthly meeting, covering a wide variety of subjects. Following the speaker there is a raffle draw, coffee/tea and biscuits.

All members are welcome and enjoy socialising with existing members in an informal atmosphere.
Non members are also welcome to attend a meeting to see what is involved and talk to the committee, group leaders, and members.

We also have a vibrant Social activity programme with many activities each month.
The events are published at least a month in advance and are featured on the website, in the monthly newsletter, by email, and at the monthly meetings.

This session will be delivered by Northumbria University (a National Cyber Security Centre Academic Centre for Excellence in Cyber Security Research) along with the North Shields CyberGuardians. Join our two-hour interactive session on how you can stay safe online. We will cover online scams, passwords, and other key topics in this session. No prior knowledge is required, this session is applicable to anyone with a computer, smartphone, or tablet. In addition to hands on support in smaller groups with these topics, there will be plenty of time for you to ask your own questions.
