We meet monthly at 3 pm on the first Thursday of the month at the Ryefield Centre Centre, Ross on Wye; new members warmly welcomed to plan trips and have a jolly gossip about all things theatrical. Come for a free trial! Normal cost £3 every 4 months for hall hire/stationery etc)
We visit theatres from Cardiff to Birmingham although most of our trips are more local - Ross, Hereford, Malvern, and Monmouth. Our tastes are broad, from musicals to Shakespeare, comedies to tragedies. Members select the shows that appeal to them, there is no obligation to see any particular show. For larger group trips we hire a minibus, for smaller groups we car share. We can usually get a group discount so tickets may be cheaper. Members are asked to contribute towards petrol costs for car share.
We have recently enjoyed "The Pitmen Painters", "Fences" which is due to open in the West End, "Woman in Black" and the more light-hearted musical "Save the Last Dance for Me".
Future outings include "Tons of Money" - a farce by Alan Ayckburn, "Soul Sister" - a tribute to Tina Turner and a musical extravaganza "The Top of the World". We also support Flicks in the Sticks at St. Mary's Church and the U3A film screenings at Coleford.
