Cotswold Link

The Cotswold Link is a network of local u3as within the u3a movement and covers the country defined as Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire up to the Welsh border. All u3as in this geographic area are free to join the Link even if they are also members of another network.

Cotswold Link reciprocal arrangement
In the interests of sharing and perpetuating the aims of the u3a movement, the Link has set up a reciprocal agreement between its member u3as. Any member of a Link u3a may attend one group activity in another Link u3a, without having to become a member of that other u3a. General meetings of a u3a do not count as a group activity. Session fees for the group activity will still apply. This is an entirely voluntary agreement between Link u3as and although it is hoped that all will participate, the independence of any dissenting u3a is recognised.

For the full list of u3as who are members, as well as for details of its aims and objectives, access the official site for the Cotswold Link. Like Ross, many of these u3as now post their newsletter on their website; if you would like to read one, you can do so via the official site, where you can also find a chart showing which study and social groups each individual U3A runs.

MEETINGS
Two representatives from each u3a attend the meetings; they have voting rights and are usually sponsored by their own u3a. However, any other interested member may also attend (at their own expense), but may not vote should one be called. Please speak to a Committee Member if you would like to know more.
