Photo Group 2
As a group we have been in existence for two years and have increased in size and the activities we do.
The major aspect is the opportunity to make friends and share our interests in the local area and its history.
We are all on a journey to improve our skills and presentation.
We are a mixed group with varying skills and hope to learn from each other, we use phones, point and shoot and DSLR cameras of different ages and makes and enjoy comparing our results.
Meeting every second Wednesday usually at 10.30am at a venue and spending 45minutes to an hour with a photographic objective and then go to a café for coffee/tea to spend some time discussing the results, the weather, usually raining, and what we want to do next. Churches, Castles, and local beauty spots are our chosen venues. We have a meeting to show and discuss our photos, generally two weeks from our regular meeting.
our aim is to develop our photography by linking with local organisations, exhibiting and using themes such as Composition etc to move us forward. it is important to us that all are included and involved so participation is a requirement.
Sharing our photographs on a dedicated Cluster site and are always seeking opportunities to engage with the local community and the Church.
We feel we embrace the essence of u3a in the Laugh, Learn, Live moto and hope we are welcoming to all with the restriction of number of chairs for our group meeting which are held in our houses.
