Geology & Landscape
The beautiful landscapes of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean are the result of a most interesting geological history. Our aim is to relate the present and the past and we not only discuss and learn about this, but also go out to explore the landscape in the light of its underlying geology and history.
Our meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month. The activity may be for 2 hours in the case of a discussion or short visit, more usually extend to mid afternoon for local field trips but may extend to a whole day for some particularly interesting project. The starting location varies according to the particular day's activity , but we usually meet at Larrapurz to arrange car shares at 10:30 a.m. For details check on this web page or register your email address on Peter Hancock's contact list (01989 562574; or send an email to the link )
