Nature Appreciation

Group contact: Hugh Munro and deputy Bridget Wilcox

The Nature Appreciation Group meets on the 2nd Monday and 4th Friday of each month and possibly less during the winter months, weather permitting. The plan is to walk (slowly and carefully) over a maximum of about 5 Km with a duration of approximately 2.5 hours and to cover many different habitats including, woodlands, moorlands heathlands, coastal areas and suburban areas.
Distance and duration will depend mainly on the abundance or scarcity of "nature" in any locality. The purpose is leisurely observation, identification, learning and appreciation of the wild animals, birds, wild flowers, trees/shrubs, insects, fungi etc. that we see.
We can accept more members.
