The Nature Appreciation Group will meet on the 2nd Monday and 4th Friday of each month and possibly less during the winter months.
We plan to walk (slowly and carefully) over a maximum of 5 Km with a duration of approximately 2.5 hours.
We will cover many different habitats including, woodlands, moorlands heathlands, coastal areas and suburban areas.
Distance and duration will depend mainly on the abundance or scarcity of "nature" in any locality. The purpose is leisurely observation, identification, learning and appreciation of the wild animals, birds, wild flowers, trees/shrubs, insects, fungi etc. that we see.
Photos may be taken, reports made and circulated to all members.
No significant equipment is required but some walking may be over rough ground.
