Penicuik & District

Petanque

We play in the (no cost) council-built Petanque 'terrain' in Penicuik park which is located on the other side of the burn from the children's play area and is accessed from Cranston Street if travelling by car. There is no formal method of booking the 'Terrain' which has enough space for about 6 'lanes'. No special equipment is required and because many members have extra 'boules', you should be able to borrow some.

We play for pleasure and also the social contact although there is a little bit of unavoidable competition. Depending on the numbers attending, we can play in groups of 2, 3 or 4.
We can accept more members.
