Our monthly open meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (except June, July, August and December) at 2 p.m. in Penicuik Town Hall.
An Open Meeting features a talk by a guest speaker on a wide-ranging topic of general interest, with time for questions afterwards, and finally there is time for socialising over a cup of tea or coffee. There are also notice board displays with information about local and national activities. Entrance to these meetings is free to members, and visitors are welcome to attend for a small fee (currently £2). See the Notices page for the latest programme.
The December meeting is traditionally the Christmas Social, and is held on the second Thursday.
We have also a growing number of Interest Groups of which members can join as many as they like: these are really the core activity of the U3A: see the Groups page.
