The Tangent Group
This is fairly new group. Some of you may know about it but to elaborate it’s all about conversation, that forgotten skill that existed in abundance before the advent of social media!
A topic will be chosen to talk about; anything from black holes, to aliens, putting things off to being obsessive, the disappearing High Street to on-line shopping, keeping fit to growing old, food, travel, holidays, the best of times and the worst of times. And everything in between.
But why call it 'tangent'?
I also run the Writing Support Group, where we aim to support each other in whatever we have written, we start discussing a poem, a few words, or an emerging story but the discussion broadens, goes off topic becomes a tangent.
So why not have a conversation, go on a word journey see where it takes us; wonder which tangent will we end up discussing, laughing about, feeling emotional about?
If you would like to give it a try, we meet at my home in Coldham every second Thursday in the month at 2 pm.
