Strollers

We are happy to announce that this Group has been rescued from disbandment by the volunteering of 2 new Group Leaders. They have worked hard towards getting things moving again and the Group is now meeting as normal.

The Strollers meet on the first Friday of the month.

Ours are easy walks of about three miles. Footpaths will be good, but sometimes wet, and we try to avoid awkward stiles.

Members go on the walks willingly, accepting the risks that are inherent in any outdoor activity and accepting that responsibility for their own well-being lies with themselves. The leader just happens to be the person who knows the way.

It's a day out, including a lunch place, and - bearing in mind the educational aim of the U3A - wherever possible we find things of interest.

As this is a self-help group we expect members to come forward and do their share in organizing a walk and lunch-venue, so that we don't put a burden on just one or two members.
Help in organizing a stroll is always available.

In order to keep our footprint to the minimum we practice car-sharing for this group.

New members are always welcome, the more the merrier.
