March

Tai Chi Dragons

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese “internal” or “soft” martial art, practised for its health giving and spiritual benefits. It is non competitive, gentle and generally, slow paced.

There were two Tai Chi groups in March u3a, both meeting in the Skoulding Suite of March Town Hall, on Monday mornings in term time. The Groups practice sequences created by Dt Paul Lam, learning step by step from his teaching DVDs.

The original group, the Tigers, following Covid lockdowns, decided to continue their practice sessions throughout 2020 and 2021, outdoors in the park, weather permitting. A hugely pleasurable experience which they continued in the summer of 2022.

A new venture was created in September 2021, setting up a new group, now known as the Dragons, learning together led by the self taught Tigers.

The groups are now blended into one and know as the Tai Chi Dragons.

Numbers are restricted and there are no plans at present to open a waiting list.

If you would like to find out more about this group please click on the envelope icon to send an email to the group leader.
