Hawkwell Village

Weekly Walking

For Weekly Walking we walk every Monday morning at 10.00 on alternate weeks from Hockley Library and then Clements Hall.

We walk about three miles in around an hour and then have a social chat with coffee/tea at usually The Bull or Potash Tearooms. We aim to get some regular exercise whilst enjoying the scenery around the area and participating in discussions.

The walks are not particularly difficult but suitable clothing and footwear is needed. Some of the walks during the winter have encountered significant amounts of mud and puddles and some have changed their footwear to wellies instead of walking boots/shoes. We vary the route each week and a number of us lead (e.g. Stuart, Jan and Dennis).

Participation is at the members own risk.

The Group Contact is Dennis Brown who can be contacted by email by clicking the link above.
