Birdwatching & Wildlife
We normally meet at our chosen venue on the last Tuesday of the month but with agreement of the majority this day can be flexible. On most occasions we meet at approximately 10.00 a.m. and the duration of the meeting can vary depending upon the location of our visit.
So far we have stayed within a 20 mile radius and agree to share cars to keep travelling costs to a minimum. All costs involved will be at the members own expense.
We normally walk for 2 - 3 hours and appropriate footwear and clothing are necessary because we are usually outside. Uneven ground conditions should always be expected and some vantage points have limited access.
Public facilities are not always available and must be discussed when choosing the venues. Likewise refreshments may not be readily available and should be provided by the member if they wish.
Any members with any health issues should consult their doctor before taking part.
Participation is at the members own risk.
Binoculars are an advantage but some places have pairs for borrowing/hiring. Members are encouraged to think of suggestions where we might meet.
Currently apart from one member we have very limited knowledge but like to share with each other any knowledge we may have. New members with much or little knowledge are welcome to join our friendly little group.
Currently the group contact is Peter Collins who can be contacted by email by clicking on the link above.
