PLEASE NOTE: due to central support imposing draconian limits on the number of photos we can hold on our site in total and on individual pages, we have had to remove all photos older than 1 year and ensure that any single page does not have more than 25 photos. This particularly affects the Photography group.

Please continue to provide photos for review as usual. They will be held and stored for future use but only a selection can be shown on the website.

Some external links to videos and pdfs are retained.

If you wish to retrieve any photos not available on this site, please contact Alan Aldridge at Webmaster email link. Thank you.

GROUP NEWS:
We are pleased to welcome a further 4 members to the group, which is thriving at around 23 members.

Advanced software
Rather than split the group into two, we are proposing to start an additional subgroup for those members with an interest in advanced software for photography e.g. Photoshop, Elements, Lightroom, etc.
To start things rolling please express your interest by contacting Alan via email at Bulletin Editor
We suggest having a meeting in February to decide if this group is a good idea and how to progress.

wetransfer.com
Members often have some difficulty sending photos by email as the size quickly exceeds the generally 20Mb allowed.
So our thanks to Jeff for identifying the site wetransfer.com
This allows free transfer of files up to a total of 2Gb [far in excess of our needs].

To send simply go to wetransfer.com On the left hand side enter to recipients email and your email and press the + button to add files. Navigate to the files you want to send, select as many as you wish. Alternatively you can send a complete folder. Click send.

The recipient will receive an email advising that a download is available. Click on the link to download the collated zip file.
Click on the zip file to open, select the files inside the folder and copy and paste to where you want to store.

This is the best transfer method that I have come across. If anyone has difficulty using please contact Jeff or Alan.

FUTURE MEETINGS 2020 - CANCELLED

In line with advice we will cancel further meetings until the health situation is resolved.

In the meantime, we plan to advise of some photographic topics and projects that can be undertaken individually at home or as an individual visiting an open/unpopulated space.

Please forward any ideas to Sue Lewsey at Photography Group
