Group News Activities are:

  • Meet up or Zoom Meeting every third Thursday in the month
  • Location Meetings to sketch outdoors.
  • Challenges may also be set.

If you have always wanted to be able to sketch something, this Group is for you. Whether a beginner at drawing or an established artist our Drawing Group is for all abilities.

For Beginners we have on-line tutorials, which enables you to draw in your own home and lasts just over an hour. You are taken step by step from start to finish and able to complete a drawing within this time frame. From practicing with these videos you will gain confidence to freestyle your own drawings over varied subjects.

If working on-line is not for you, we are happy to sit together and go through the basic steps.

There is a chosen topic every couple months which can be drawn in whatever media you would like to try. In addition to this, we endeavour to go out on location to sketch.

A meeting is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, though if weather is poor we organise a zoom meeting. We can then gather together and discuss how we have been getting on and our future projects.

Additional challenges may be presented to our group and we also try and learn a new skill either shown by our fellow group member, reading recommended books or watching YouTube.

I do hope you will give it a try – you never know what you can achieve until you make that first step.
