Group News
We meet once a month on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am.
We are a French Conversation Beginners Group, finding out about France, its people and customs along the way. Our aim is to be able to understand and converse in the French language when travelling to France or Europe on holiday.

The last meeting of 2019 saw us have our Christmas French Meeting. We played ‘Christmas Strip Bingo’ which is not what you might think. This didn’t involve taking off any clothing, just tearing off strips of paper and French Hangman [should have been guillotine!].
Afterwards we had a ‘French Feast’ with fromage, paté, jambon, a baguette and a bûche de Noel, all washed down with a Kir or a Kir Royal. Very enjoyable.

Essuie-tout - qu'est ce-que c'est en France - Kitchen Towel to you and me
We had fun translating 'les recettes Françaises' which decorated the sheets of French kitchen towel.
9 recipes in all. Hopefully we will try making some of them.
