As it was a very wet day the photography group visited The Museum of Power just outside Maldon and it was agreed by everyone to be very enjoyable and interesting.
We had a talk from James explaining how water was pumped around Essex in the past from the 1920’s and to the present day. This was followed by a demonstration of the very large remaining pump (originally there were three pumps).
There is also a small museum of domestic appliances and other exhibits that use electricity. We finished our visit in the cafe and had a lovely cup of tea.
