With 3-4 people waiting the Interest Groups Coordinator will be asked to form another group - will require 1 or 2 waiting members to become the Group Contact(s).

Meeting at: 4th Thursday of every month at nominated locations.
In January a list is sent out listing all the monthly dates. Each month details are sent out about 2 weeks before the due date giving details of that month's walk.

Current Group Activity:
Currently with our group of 30, around 40% are over 80 so generally the walks will be restricted to around 5 miles.
During the Winter months the Essex soil tends to get quite muddy so we have walks starting with a train journey, usually London . During the Summer months we try to keep local or sometimes with a car journey. We always arrange to eat at the end of the walk for those wishing to. This is their choice.
We will notify members of the current months walk about 2 weeks before the due date saying where to meet and when with the final destination. Advice on walk terrain whether flat, hilly, muddy, rough and appropriate footwear plus approximate distance.
Doreen started this group with about 8 members 12 years ago and it has now grown to 30 and is a very sociable group who enjoy the benefits of the great outdoors
