Table Tennis
The RESTART! Table Tennis programme is now running. For full procedure guide and booking information call Dave Pettit
The most common comment of “retired” people on seeing table tennis, is to exclaim, “I haven’t done that for years”, but it doesn’t take people long to get back into the game. You can see by the facial expressions a flood of happy memories returning.
We meet in The Townsend Hall on Thursdays from 2 until 3 pm. We use the large hall where we put up five or six tables. We have had some formal coaching and now, we have a semi resident coach, who attends most weeks.
We've also started to play in other clubs with a match against Halford TT club a few months ago, and a team recently played in the Welsh Open U3A Championships.
We're sociable, fun loving and, whilst wanting to play, also want to laugh. We have a wide variety of skill levels, from beginner to league standard, but everybody still tries to play with everybody.
All visitors are made very welcome and encouraged to play straight away.
