Table Tennis
The table tennis group meets every Thursday from 1-3pm at the Townsend Hall, Sheep Street. The session costs £2 for U3A members.
We welcome newcomers and allow potential new members to the group to come along and play for free for a maximum of 3 weeks, thereafter we require players to be U3A members and pay the £2 per session.
The group is of mixed ability and the emphasis is on social mixing in of players so that everyone gets an opportunity to play against players across a range of standards. Singles play has priority for the first 30-45 minutes of the session, thereafter doubles play has priority.
We have 5 tables for game play plus a ball machine for practice during the session.
