Shipston-on-Stour Area

A Warm Welcome

Shipston on Stour is renowned for its friendliness and community spirit and our u3a exemplifies this. If you are no longer in full-time employment or just have time on your hands, and are looking for interesting and stimulating activities in the company of others, then joining Shipston on Stour Area u3a may be just what you need! We cover Shipston on Stour and the local area including the villages around about.

We welcome visitors to our regular gatherings at the Townsend Hall in Shipston. Come along and meet us, find out about our Interest Groups and how to become a member.

Our members have many skills and life experiences and we bring these qualities to our Interest Groups, be it ancient Greek and walking, to table tennis and wine tasting! Friends are made, knowledge shared, lives become richer as we meet, find enjoyment in learning and fun in our third age.

We have a wide range of GROUPS (currently around 30) where members come together to share their enthusiasm for various subjects and activities. There should hopefully be something for everyone.

We also hold regular monthly meetings EVENTS where a speaker entertains us with their specialist subject.

We hope there is something for everyone in the Shipston on Stour Area u3a.

Read more about joining us on our MEMBERSHIP page. The SoSA U3A is a registered charity affiliated to The Third Age Trust.

Membership costs £14 per year (£10.50 for those who are already a paid-up member of another u3a).

Both Members and visitors are welcome to our meetings. Visitors may attend two monthly meetings before deciding whether to join us. A similar policy applies to all Interest Groups.

Shipston u3a is a member of the South Warwickshire u3a Cluster which gives mutual access to Interest Groups and Meetings as given on the document titled SW Cluster on the GROUPS page.
