The Shipston Five Milers
After the most recent walk, members of the group have decided on a change to the timings of the walks. In future the walks will happen on the 2nd and last Wednesday of the month.
They will still start in or around Shipston, usually within a 5 mile radius but occasionally going a little further afield.
So October’s walks will be on Wednesdays 11th and 25th, November’s walks on 8th and 29th all to start at 10am as usual.
Details of each walk are sent out in advance to members of the group.
11th Oct walk report: We had a great walk yesterday, planned and led by Jeff Price. We started at Dover Hill car park just above Chipping Campden and walked round the Fish Hill national trust area, along the ridge to Broadway Tower, see attached snap! We market tested the catering of the Tower Barn, coffee and cakes all to an excellent standard, before walking back to Chipping Campden. A lovely 5 to 7 mile walk depending on whose stride measurement you believe, and no rain at all in spite of a rather dire forecast!
